It is with sadness that he families of the late Dorman E. Rolfe announce is passing at The Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, aged 92. Dorman is predeceased by his wife, Mary; parents, Stanley & Anne Rolfe; daughters, Ivy, and Barbara-Ann; sisters, Daisy Osmond, and Mabel Brett; brother-in-law, Ford Rolfe; son-in-law, Roy Warford. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: sons, William (Lorna), Jerry (Winnie), Gerald (Annie), Allan (Shirley-Ann); daughters, Marion (Herb) Brett, Shirley (Reg) Thompson, Ruby (Calvin) Stuckless, Joan (Walter) Martin, Jean (Bryce) Thompson, Lillian (Roosevelt) Thompson, Mabel, Bonnie (Alvin) Warford, Patsy (Carl) Sheppard, Hazel, and Dianne (Ralph) Rice; son-in-law, Calvin Parmiter; sisters, Ivy (Warford); brother, Andy (Emma) Rolfe; 52 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren. Visitation took place Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, Point Leamington. The funeral service took place Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel with Majors Richard and Trudy Mouland officiating. The interment took place at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.
