STARRITT, Alfred Gerald - 84, Debert Court, Debert, formerly of Castlereigh, Colchester County, passed away peacefully Friday, December 31, 2010 at the home. Born December 31, 1926, in Castlereigh, he was a son of the late Stuart and Margaret (Grue) Starritt and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Gerald spent most of his life on the family farm in Castlereigh. His love for his family, farming, tractors and horses was always evident. His warm smile and sparkling eyes touched the hearts of those around him and will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Delay; brother, Aubrey Starritt. Special thanks to all of Gerald's "Debert Court Family" for their compassion, kindness and care. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., today, January 4, 2011, in Riverside United Church, Highway 2, Bass River, Reverend Florence Antle-Brison officiating. Spring interment in Riverside Cemetery.
