It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Hayward Bert Payne announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Pt, N.L. on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 in his 85 year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of Mary Eudora nee Ellsworth, his daughter; Kelly Payne (Mark Parsons), grandchildren; Matthew & Megan Parsons, his sister; Rita (Charles Thornhill), his mother in law; Mrs. Rose Ellsworth, brothers & sisters in law; Sam McKenzie, Rellie Payne, Cora Ash, Regina Ellsworth, Sheila Maynard, Douglas Ellsworth, Eric Ellsworth (Sonya Riddle), Hughie (Geraldine Ellsworth), Mark (Margaret Ellsworth), James was predeceased by his parents; Samuel & Elsie Payne, sister; Ada McKenzie, brother; Carl Payne, father in law; Albert Ellsworth, & brothers in law; Gus Ash, & Jake Payne. Also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family & friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky Hr, N.L. on Monday, January 3rd, 2011 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, & continuing on Tuesday, January 4th, 10 - 12, where also the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 at 2 pm with the Rev: Jean Brenton Hickman officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Rocky Hr, N.L.
