BURRY, Cecil M. - Cecil M. Burry passed peacefully away at his home on Jan. 1, 2011, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his parents; Fred and Annie: his loving Wife, Georgina (Cumby); Brothers: Gordon and Robert; Sisters: Elsie, Pricella, Marion, Ethel and Alice. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his brother Fred Jr. (Carrie); Daughters: Elizabeth Langille (Frank), Nancy Cook (Ross), and son Ian (Debbie). Precious grandchildren; Melissa LeDrew (Blair) Amanda Langille, Christopher, Adam, and Jennifer Burry, Donald Cook (Amanda), Rodney Cook (Jennifer), and Curtis Cook. Also leaving to mourn his special friend and companion, Hazel Churchill, good friend, Tom Rose, loving sister-in-law Rebecca Littlejohn (Max), niece Gina Hoey (Mark) and family, six great-grandchildren whom he adored, and many other relatives and friends. Also will be missed by his furry friends Buddy, Bailey, and Reggie. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Rd. Visitation will take place on Monday Jan. 3, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday Jan. 4, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will place on Wednesday Jan. 5, 2011 at the Memorial United Church at 2:00 p.m. with a private family interment to take place on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cecil's memory may be made to the United Ostomy Association (NL Chapter), Burry Heights Camp and Retreat Centre, or to the Memorial United Church in Portugal Cove.
