Harriette Beatrice Amburg - 93, of Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 in the home. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Pettipas. She had been employed as a seamstress at the Berwick Hospital. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch No. 69, Berwick. She is survived by a son, David (Elizabeth), Berwick; a sister, Mildred Trimper, Bear River; a granddaughter, Tanya (D.J.) Wilson; three great grandchildren, Cyrus, Bowen and Jema Wilson. She was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Copace, Louise Hiscoe and Rosie Augustine; brothers, Joe, Bernard and Gerald Pettipas. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 with a Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary service held at 7:00 p.m., both in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010. Burial took place in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
