RIVERTON - Rosalind Flora "Rose" Dobson, 91, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010, in Valley View Villa, Riverton, where she was a resident since January, 2008.
She was a former resident of Stellarton and New Glasgow.
Born in Trenton, March 14, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Strickland) Jeans.
She was a former employee of Goodman Company Ltd and Tanya's Boutique.
She is survived by her son, Francis (Sharon) Dobson; two grandchildren, Brian (Laura) Dobson; Leanne Dobson; three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew and Nicholas Dobson, all of New Glasgow. Also surviving is a sister, Priscilla Baudoux, Valley View Villa; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Elmer Dobson, in 1973. She was also predeceased by sisters, Vera Fraser and Myrtle Hughes; brothers, Claude, George and Basil.
Visitation was held Monday, January 3 in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with Rev. John Roy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in Rose's memory may be made to Valley View Villa or a charity of choice.
