Clark, Miriam Isabel - 70, of Truro Heights, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in St. Stephen, NB on October 6, 1940, she was a daughter of Doris Green, NB, and the late Norman Green. She was married to the late Gene Churchill Clark of Truro for 47 years until his passing in July of 2008.
A long-time resident of Truro, Isabel also lived and worked as a nurse in Ontario and PEI, where she first met her husband Gene. She was a member, and attended with her sister-in-law Marie, Truro Heights United Baptist Church, where she made some lovely friends and enjoyed and appreciated Pastor Greg Porter's sermons and private talks.
Isabel will be sadly missed by many friends and family, especially by her very dear friends Sue and Malcolm. Many hours she spent chatting with Sue. The two couples shared many fond memories at their residence on Anita Crescent. Isabel enjoyed every minute of time she spent with her granddaughter Danielle.
When her son Paul had horses racing in Ontario, you could be sure that she was watching the racing channel to catch a glimpse of him, and she glowed when he would wave to her from the winner's circle.
George and Linda were also very near and dear to Isabel. She also enjoyed the many friends she made while attending harness racing at the Truro Raceway over the years, but Isabel's greatest joy of all, passed away almost 2 ½ years before she did.
She is survived by three brothers, Russell (Gloria), NB; David (Penny), NS; Ralston (Carol), Ont.; two sons, Paul (Joanne), Ont.; Robin (Kathy), NS; granddaughter Danielle and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gene and father Norman. There will be no visitation or funeral service by her request. A graveside service and interment will be held at a later date.
