STELLARTON - Williams, Doris Laura, age 89, of the Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Stellarton, passed away January 2, 2011, in the Villa.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late William and Florence May (Lewis) Williams. Doris has been a resident of Valley View Villa since 2001.
She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. Doris had been employed as a bookkeeper with the Acadia Coal Co., TrentonWorks and had retired from Thompson and Sutherland Ltd.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a nephew, Kendrick Fraser, White Hill.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Claude a sister, Phyllis Fraser and companion, J. Dennis Harker.
Her remains will rest in H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011. Burial will be in the Christ Church Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. www.angusfuneralhomes.com
