Laurette LeBlanc
Laurette LeBlanc, 87, wife of the late Alcide LeBlanc, of Villa Providence, Shediac, formerly of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Villa following a lengthy illness. Born February 17, 1923 in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Amedée and Alma (LeBlanc) Petitpas. She is survived by five children: Lucienne LeBlanc, Diane LeBlanc (Gérald), Rose LeBlanc (feu Marcel Richer), and Jean LeBlanc (Jocelyne) all of Haute-Aboujagane, and Emery (Andréa) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; four sisters: Flora LeBlanc and Fernande LeBlanc (late Ligouri) of Shediac, Rita Bisonnette (late Robert) of LaSalle, Qc., Thérèse LeBlanc (Paul) of Memramcook; two brothers: Hector Petitpas (Claudette) of Ste-Catherine, Qc., Alyre Petitpas (Simonne) of Haute-Aboujagane; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a daughter-in-law, Rose-Marie LeBlanc, and a son-in-law, Claude LaBelle of LaSalle, Qc. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Jeanne LaBelle, a son, Denis, a sister, Léona, and a brother, Alcide Petitpas.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours Thursday, January 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday morning, from 9 a.m. until departure (10:10). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church, Haute-Aboujagane, on Friday, January 7 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
