(WW11 Veteran, K4888939) - Passed peacefully away at the Sir Winston Churchill Wing of the Caribou Veterans Pavillion, St. John's on January 2, 2011, age 91 years, a resident of Jerseyside for 60 years, formerly of Red Island, P. Bay. Predeceased by his devoted wife Anastasia (Wilson) son Vincent William, grandsons Brian, Shawn Deem, and Norman Dowen. Leaving to mourn his daughters Bernadette (Jack) Adams, PA, Helen (Lonne deceased) Dowen, MI, Rita (Carter) Pomroy, Placentia, Mary Ann Cochrane, Port Aux Choix, and son MacDonald Cochrane, Placentia; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildre. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia at a time to be given later. Funeral Mass to take place at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia, at a time to be given later.
