Peacefully, and surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, of Mrs. Stella C. MacGillivray, formerly of Spring St., Charlottetown, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Alexander MacGillivray and dear mother of Walter, James, Grant, Charles (Anita), Evelyn (Frank) Chow, Mary (James) Doyle, Regina (Jerry) Fay, John, David (Cheryl), Ron and Brenda (Joe) Christaans. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her brothers, Francis (Winnifred) McCormack and Bill McCormack. She was also predeceased by her son, Melvin. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Thursday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I.
