It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Ella Goosney announce her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Center in Port Saunders, NL on Monday, January 3rd, 2011, in her 85th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Alma (Robert) Lacombe and Doris Goosney (Gary Leblanc). Two granddaughters, Danielle and Chantal. Her sisters Vivian (Robert) Spence, Leah (Nish) House, and Juliette Cornick, brothers: Clayton (Stella) Plowman, Jim (Laura) Plowman, brother- in-law Steadman Goosney, sisters-in-law Pansy Goosney and Madeline Goosney. Her two special nieces Marie Bourgeois and Hazel Hynes as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William, parents Alice and Ulric, siblings Felix, Otto, Romeo, Lillian, Roger, Kevin and Augustus. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Anglican Church in Birchy Head, today Wednesday, January 5th, 2011, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charlene Laing officiating, burial to follow at the church cemetery in Birchy Head. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
