Brown, Charles Robert H. "Charlie" - 79, North River, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving wife, Sharron and step-daughter, Sherrie in Elk Court, Brookfield on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Born February 10, 1931 in Emmerson, N.B., he was a son of the late James and Minnie (McCumby) Brown. Charlie had a passion for cars and rebuilt antique cars. He had a gift for wood working and he built a home for his family. Charlie has a giving nature and would help anyone needing his skills. He was predeceased by his brother George and sister-in-law, Kay (Prince Rupert); brother, Grant and sister-in-law, Eleanor (Truro); niece, Valerie (Truro); nephew Tony, (Botwood, Nfld). He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sharron; stepdaughter, Sherrie (Wade Finck), Kelowna, B.C.; grandchildren, Matthew and Cynthia; great-grandchild, Taylor and the last surviving member of his family, his sister, Della Steeves Mountain, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. Thanks are expressed to Dr. Stewart, the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Henderson, Dawn Martell and staff. A heartfelt "thank you" to the staff at Archibald Lane, Elk Court for the support the family received during this trying time. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Alice Rutherford officiating.
