(1936-2011)- Devoted husband, father and grandfather, Gerald Francis Butler passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 1, 2011, age 74 years, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief battle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife Helen, his children: Gerry (Heather ), Linda Hollett (Derrick), Paddy (Kimberly) and Cynthia Russell (Mark). His grandchildren: Megan, Brittany, Courtney, Brady, Laura, Natasha, Taylor and Nichole. His brothers: Bill (Marie), Jim, (Mary) and his sister Agnes Murphy. His two brothers-in-law: Ralph Yetman (Nora), Wally St. Croix (Anita). His sisters-in-law: Kay Tobin (Iggy), Janet Nolan (Scott) and Gertrude (predeceased Pat) and the Yetman family Cyril Yetman (Faye), Larry Yetman (Doris) and Rita Corbett. Predeceased by his parents John and Isabelle Butler, his brothers: Pat and Gordon, his sisters: Ann, Helen and Mary. Also leaving to mourn fifty-one nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay on Sunday from 7 p.m - 9 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian burial from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bauline Line.
