Inez Woodworth

Peacefully, at Pine Grove Nursing Home, on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, Inez Argylla Woodworth of Fredericton, widow of Willis W. Woodworth, passed away following a period of failing health. Inez, a daughter of the late Thomas and Winnifred (Dodds) Fraser, was born at Nashwaak Bridge, York County, NB, on January 11, 1921. A retired Provincial Government civil servant, Inez was also a charter member of both the Carleton York Chapter of the IODE and the Pythian Sisters Celestial Temple No. 19. Inez was a member of the Gibson Memorial United Church. Inez was predeceased by her two children, infant daughter Linda Anne and son, Maj. Dr. Ronald W. F. Woodworth, in addition to her husband, parents, sister, Leona (Vincent) Jones, brothers, Merrile Fraser, Neil Fraser and Donald Fraser and her great-grandson Talitha Cumi Smith-Woodworth. Surviving Inez are her sister, Gwen (Arthur) Abernethy, Fredericton, daughter-in-law, Viola (Vi) (Price) Woodworth, Fredericton, granddaughters, Vicki Woodworth (Michael C. Smith), Cindy Woodworth and Jamie Woodworth, all of Fredericton; six great-grandchildren, Bernadette, Caleb, Elijah, Elisha, Yoni and Selah, all of Fredericton, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In accordance with Inez' wishes, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Inez on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Gibson Memorial United Church, Fredericton, with the Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (New Brunswick Branch) or to a charity of the donor's choice. Interment will take place in the Taymouth Community Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton.
