It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irene Collins announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the age of 89 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Joyce (Calvin) Mitchell of Victoria, British Columbia, five sons: Henry (Pat) Collins of Windsor, Ontario, George (Nelly) Collins of Wingham, Ontario, Eric (Ricki) Collins of Kippens, NL, Lloyd (Linda) Collins of Haliburton, Ontario, Harold (Clara) Collins of Kippens, NL, special cousin, Cecil Mauger of Kippens, NL, 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Collins. Visitation took place on Wednesday, July 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, St. Clare Avenue, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive. Stephenville.
