Vivian Wheaton
On January 5, 2011, Vivian Wheaton, age 79, of Oxford, went home to join her husband George in the presence of the Lord.
Born in Bass River, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hibbert and Bessie (Yorke) Siddall.
Vivian was an active long time member of the Oxford Church of the Nazarene. Wonderful with her hands, she loved to knit, quilt, sewing and flower gardening. She also enjoyed reading and helping her friends and family.
She will be sadly missed by her son Larry (Judy Perry), Winnipeg, MB; daughters, Bonnie Wheaton, Matlock, MB, Virginia "Gin" (Jeff) West, Oliver Springs, Tennessee, Brenda (Don) Quantz, Calgary, AB, Karen Barclay, Oxford; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sister Evelyn (Bill) Hickey, Oxford.
She was predeceased by her husband George Wheaton; son Robert; granddaughter Krista Joy Quantz; brothers Eric Siddall, James Siddall; sister Thelma Siddall.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the W Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS (902-447-2167) where visiting hours will take place on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2 pm from the Church of the Nazarene, Oxford, officiated by Rev. Bert Collins and Rev. Mark Collins. Burial will take place in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the spring.
