It is with great sadness that the family of the late ADELE WALSH of Marystown announces her passing at The Health Science Centre in St. John's on Thursday December 30, 2010 at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Sons Brendan of Winnipeg, Adrian (Laura) of Calgary, Jerry of Calgary, Narcissus of St. John's, and Mario of Brampton, ON; Daughters Maureen of Ottawa, Joan of St. John's, Adele (David) Walsh of St. John's, Mary (Mark) Ploughman of St. John's, Phyllis (Jerry) Gaulton of Marystown, Donna (Gordon) Drake of Brampton, ON, and Tracey of Toronto; Sister Alice Hartson of Salt Pond; Sisters in law Flo Keating of Corner Brook, Cecilia Walsh of Stephenville, Cathy Bailey of Marystown, Bridget Keating of Stephenville, Josephine (Ed) Thorburn of B.C., and Winnie (Roy) Banfield of Iqaluit; Brothers in law Philip of St John's, Patrick (Mary) of St. John's, Leo (Mary) of Paradise, Dennis (Joan) of Marystown, and Kevin (Geraldine) of St. John's; 20 Grandchildren Megan, Erin, Natasha, Adam, Stephen, Allison, Colin, Heather, Liam, Alana, Alex, Jared, Denys, Jordan, Lily, Jocelyn, Lawrence, Shannon, Laura and Donovan; 5 Great-Grandchildren Hannah, Kate, Hilary, Jacob and Rowan; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Husband Narcissus and Grandson Joshua. Funeral Mass took place on Monday January 3, 2011 at 10:30am from Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Marystown. Interment followed at the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Marystown. In Adele's memory, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
