Suddenly at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Thursday, January 6, 2011, of Wilbert Francis Meggison of Alberton, aged 51 years.
Beloved husband to Beverley (nee Wedge) Meggison. Loving father to Curtis and Josh (Janelle Gallant) Meggison and loving grandfather to Zachary. Born in Alberton on May 25, 1959, he was the son of Ruth (nee Meggison) and Peter Bortnak, and the late Edgar Gerrior. He was raised by his very loving and caring grandparents, William and Laura (nee Shaw) Meggison of Alberton.
He is survived by brothers and sisters: Mike (Tracy) Gerrior of Springhill, N.S.; Ronnie Bortnak of Calgary, AB; Laurie Bortnak of Calgary, AB; Penny (Trevor) Younes of Edmonton, AB; Lisa Bortnak of Calgary, AB; and brothers-in-law, Miles Wedge of Brockton and Allan Brown of Springhill, N.S. Dear son-in-law to Bill and Brenda (nee Costain) Wedge of Brockton. Nephew of Isabel (late Erskine) Getson of Kildare Capes. He was predeceased by a sister, Angela Brown.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, until noon Saturday, January 8, then to the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene for funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Sheila McCrea-MacCallum officiating.
Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Alberton.
Visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
