(February 8, 1919-December 28, 2010)- Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in his 92nd year, Thomas Vincent of St. John's, formerly of Cape Island and Newtown, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by parents: Beatrice and Elihu and brother: Victor. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 68 years: Bonnie (nee Barbour); children: Roberta Gill (Lloyd) and Carson of Vancouver; grandchildren: Pamela Gill of Corner Brook, Angela Gill (Alvin Tolentino) of Australia and Stuart Gill (Kathrin Ballerstaedt) of Germany; great-grandchildren: Thomas Bradbury; brother: Allan Vincent (Betty) of Newtown; sister-in-law: Mae Vincent of Newtown and foster-sister: Alice Cook of Newtown, as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave on Wednesday, December 29th and Thursday, December 30th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, January 8th from 12-2 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
