Ripley, Donald Robert - 81, Truro, formerly of 41 Lyman Street, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care Facility, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Watson and Pearl (Sawyer) Ripley. During Donald's career, he worked as a Test Flight Engineer on the Argus and as a Aircraft Maintenance Inspector . Donald was an Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro. Surviving are his children, Robert, Sudbury ON, Sue (Derek) Burgess, Havelock, NB, Steve (Shelly), Kingston, NS, Wayne (Anne), Barrie, ON; grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Jessika; sister, Rita MacPherson, Bible Hill; brother, Bill (Ruby), North River; many nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his wife, Lois (McNally); son, Michael Ripley. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 9 with funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 10, all from the Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Rev.
