Elizabeth Blanch Hingley
Hingley, Elizabeth Blanch - 87, Debert passed away at her home on January 6, 2011. Born in Riversdale, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Rogers) Lynch. Elizabeth loved quilting, gardening and being with family. She enjoyed playing solitaire and doing puzzles. She loved her cats. She was a member of the Good Neighbor's Senior Club and the Debert United Church. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Dan) Ripley; sons, Edward (Darlene), Debert, Fred (Shirley), Edmonton, Alta.; grandchildren, Nadine (Kevin) Stanford, Riverview, NB, Ben Ripley and Daniel Ripley, both of Truro; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Megan Stanford; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; step-father, Fred Bee; sisters, Nettie, Annie; brothers, George, Jim, Eddie. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 8th from 7-9 pm with the funeral service on Sunday, January 9th at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Don MacQueen officiating. Spring interment in Middle Road Cemetery, Debert. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Debert Fire Brigade or the Debert United Church.
