Stella Savoie, 80, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday January 6, 2011 at the Villa du Repos. Born June 16, 1930 in Bouctouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alderic and Odila (Girouard) LeBlanc. She is survived by her six children: Joanne Foreman (Allan), Jacques (Dale), and Suzanne Nowlan all of Moncton, Linda MacDonald, Sylvio (Linda) and Donald (Sharon) all of Toronto; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Désiré; four sisters: Ronalda, Noëlla, Lorraine, Murielle, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel, her sisters, Marie-Paule and Jeannette.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Monday January 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Stella, donations to the Providence Foundation (Villa du Repos) would be appreciated.
