Elmer Dykeman

Elmer Dykeman devoted widower of the late Doreen (Bartlett) Dykeman passed away unexpectedly at home on January 5, 2011. Born 1922 in Jemseg to the late Charles Melbourne and Muriel (Elgee) Dykeman. Elmer was an Electrical Technician and worked for Patterson's for over 48 years retiring in 1994. He was a long time member and Sunday school teacher of the Main Street Baptist Church and was a member of the Church Choir and of the "Men Of Fundy Quartet". Devoted husband father, brother and friend; Elmer is survived by his son Paul of Richmond, BC; sister-in-law Daphne of Windsor, ON; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents and his wife Doreen, Elmer was predeceased by son Stephen, daughter Lynn and two brothers Earle and Roy and sister-in-law Mary.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).Visitation will be held at the Main Street Baptist Church, 211 Main Street on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from the Main Street Baptist Church on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at the Jemseg Baptist Church Cemetery.
