The death occurred at the Fort St. John General Hospital, Fort St. John, B.C., on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, of Michael "Mike" MacDonald, of Fort St. John, B.C., formally of Miscouche, aged 53 years. Born in Comox, B.C., he was the son of the late Kenneth V. and Annie (McKenzie) MacDonald. Survived by his best friend and wife Sharon (Ryan); his precious children Katelyn and Kendall; his sisters Mary Peters (Dennis), Kaye (David), Anne, and brother Robert. Mike is also survived by the wonderful Ryan family and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place later in St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Miscouche Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, immediately following the service. Memorial donations to the Fort St. John General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 9636 100 Ave., Fort St. John, B.C., V1J 1Y3, would be appreciated.
