The death of Bessie Mildred Stewart of Minto, NB occurred Sunday, January 9th, 2011 at the Chalmer's Regional Hospital at the age of 90. Born October 16th, 1920 in Chipman, NB she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Johnston) Laskey. Survived by a son, Don Stewart (Jean) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Tammy Johnson (Dan), Angela Chatterton (Andrew) and Rob Stewart (Michelle); great grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Johnson, and Carson Chatterton; brothers, Garnet Laskey and Fred Laskey (Jean) both of Chipman, NB; sisters, Laura Morton and Doris Hann both of Chipman, NB and Margaret O'Quinn of Ladysmith, BC; sister-in-law, Leona Laskey and brother-in-law, Freeman Cole both of Chipman, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bessie was predeceased by her husband Sylvanus Stewart in 1996; brothers, Archibald and Oscar; an infant brother, Leonard; a sister, Jean Cole; infant sisters, Miriam and Evelyn.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services, 10 King Street, Minto, NB with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, January 12th, 2011 from the United Baptist Church of Minto, NB. Interment will take place in the United Baptist Cemetery, Minto, NB.
