FRENCH RIVER - Blaine Alexander Murphy, 52, French River, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away, Saturday, January 8, 2011, at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Thomas Smith "Tom" Murphy, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, and the late Raphael Elizabeth "Dick" (MacDonald) Murphy.
He had been employed with the former TrentonWorks in the Paint Shop. Blaine's greatest pleasures in life were fishing and hunting.
Surviving besides his father, Tom, are sister, Brenda (John) Brown, MacLellan's Brook; brothers: Bernie (Pat), Westville; Brian (Brenda), Lourdes; Barry, Beryl (Barb), New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Dick, and brother, Brenton.
The family will receive visitors 12 - 12:50 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel when funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Father Peter MacDonald presiding.
