It is with great sadness the family of Gary Gaudet announce his death, which occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Saint John. Born 1952 to Connie (Brewer) Gaudet of Saint John and the late Melvin Gaudet. Gary graduated from Simond's High in 1971 and in earlier years worked for Lantic Sugar. He was a Pedorthic Technician at Thera-Ped for over 17 years. An avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, he enjoyed all genres of music, hiking, canoeing, reading and spending time with family and friends. Gary was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. Besides his mother Connie, he is survived by his brothers Edward (Ruth) of Quispamsis, John (Lori) of Dundas, ON and Paul (Wendy) of Saint John; sister Melanie Gaudet-McCarthy (Marty) of Quispamis; nieces and nephews Gary, Chloe, Mathieu, Drew, Emily, Alyssa, Jaimee, Ben and Cameron; special friends Dennis and Linda Walton of Saint John; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father, Gary was predeceased by Gaudet and Brewer grandparents.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 12th at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
