M. Olwin Landry
M. Olwin Landry, 91, widow of the late W. Paul Landry (Jan. 2005), of Pro-Tem Health Services and formerly of Mount Royal Blvd., Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John and Georgina (Melanson) MacInnes. Olwin was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and was a former nurse, having worked several years with the New Brunswick Public Health Department. She was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church and also attended Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, doing volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and the Moncton Public Library. Olwin was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Olwin will be sadly missed by her daughters, Elaine Mazerolle (Tom), Saint John; Susan Forster (Tom), Westfield; sons, Michael (Linda), Beaconsfield, PQ; David (Mary), Burlington, ON; Ray, Toronto, ON; John (Donna), Vancouver, BC; Alan, Vancouver, BC; 15 precious grandchildren and several loving great grandchildren; sister, Elaine McInnes; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In honoring Olwin's wishes, no visitation hours. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, 2:00pm. Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the church hall following the mass. Interment, Shediac Road Cemetery. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), in care of arrangements.
