It is with great sadness and despair of the loss of our mother Mary Power (Payne) upon her passing on Friday, January 7th, 2011 in her 78th year at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. She leaves to mourn nine children; Dot Matthews (Gene) of Dartmouth, Pauline Andrews (Dean) of Corner Brook, Raymond Power (Glenda) of Corner Brook, Pamela Power (Susan) of Hamilton, Donna Power of Corner Brook, Cathy Gillard (Chris) of Calgary, Terry Power of Corner Brook, Trudy McMillan of Halifax and Glenda Carberry (Bruce) of Brampton, two surviving sisters; Rachel Gushue (Payne) of Mount Carmel, Effie Brophy (Stedman) of Daniels Harbour, 11 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Matthew Power and her son baby Bruce. Greatly missed by her relatives and many friends. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday, January 9th, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Monday, January 10th, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the family.
