Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, January 7, 2011, Sybil Dawe of Cupids, aged 90 years. Predeceased by her husband Eric; parents Herbert and Elfreda Bishop; brothers Roy (Mary), Doug and Cyril; sisters Muriel (Jim), Lena and Grace. Leaving to mourn her three loving children: Lena (late John Payne), Freda (Malcolm French), Edgar (Linda); her seven grandchildren: Kathy (Carl Sparkes), Debbie (Jermey Hall), Jason French (Tanya), Stephen French (Katherine), Stephanie (Trevor Luedee), Keith Dawe (Bethany), Madonna (Jason Hayes); three great-grandchildren: Michael Sparkes, Samuel and Olivia French; sister-in-law Vera Bishop; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton's funeral home, Brigus with visitation on Saturday from 2:30-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Monday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Cupids United Church, with interment to follow in the United Church cemetery, Cupids.
