Beloved son, brother and friend. Passed quietly away on Quadra Island, B.C. on December 28, 2010 aged 48 years. Derrick was predeceased by his father, William and his sister Anna Marie. Deeply mourned by his mother, Elizabeth until her passing on January 8, 2011. Also left to mourn are his brother Billy, and sisters, Bonnie (Sean Kean) and Darlene (Rodney Careen) and nieces and nephews Anna Marie, Adam, Liam and Lauren. Derrick is also sadly mourned by his aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Aunt Ethel Downey, Marilyn (Gordon Nettleton), Rickey (Fe) and Yvonne (Jerome Power) Darryl (Audrey) and very special cousins Andrew and Connor Nettleton and a very large circle of friends both here and in British Columbia. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visiting hours from 1 p.m. -5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Teresa's Parish, on Thursday, January 13th at 9.30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Logy Bay Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
