Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital on January 8, 2011 with family at his side, Walter Wm. Noseworthy in his 85th year. Predeceased by his mother and father, Louise and Charles; brothers: Charles (Pat) and Eric; sister, Louise Young (Bill); step sisters: Florence Morgan (Ron), Violet Spurrell (Jim), Una Hamlyn (George). Leaving to mourn his wife of 62 years, Marion; daughters: Elaine Cook (Colin), Jill Chisamore (Doug); son, Bruce (Lillian); two grandsons: Michael and Mark (Judy) and their mother and special friend, Maureen Noseworthy; brother, Roy (Margaret); sister-in-law, Lola (N.S.); step brother-in-law, Len (Anna) P.E.I; special niece, Dorothy Dymond (Fraser); special friends, too numerous to mention. Special thanks to Dr. John Collingwood, Dr. Mark Porter, Dr. N. Duguid, Dr. F. O'Shea, Dr. P. Pike, Dr. Power, nurses Sharon Hearn and Helena Turner, home care worker Natalie Mullaly, VON volunteer Lorraine Best and all the nursing staff at 6E at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place Tuesday January 11, 2011 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11a.m. with interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Reception will follow the service at Carnell's Visitation and Reception Centre, 1042 Topsail Road.
