It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Kim Ruth MacLeod, 47, of Amherst on Friday morning, January 7, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of Courtney Jr. and Mable (Lowe) MacLeod.
Kim was a devoted worker for many years at Centennial Villa, Amherst and will be sadly missed by her special friends. She was a devoted daughter and enjoyed tole painting, and being with family. She will never be forgotten and loved forever.
Besides her mom and dad, Kim will be sadly missed by her sisters, Wanda (Robert) Meisner, Karen (Doug) McManaman, Holly (David) Burke, Nancy and (Robert) Collins; brother, Steven (Pam); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; Kim is also survived by her great nieces, Emily and Ava; as well as her great nephews, Dillon and Evan, whom will miss her dearly; also by her special buddy, Coco.
Kim was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Courtney Sr. and Hazel MacLeod; maternal grandparents, Richard and Alice Lowe; brother Wayne; nephews, Jamie McManaman and baby boy Meisner; special aunt, Shirley Lowe; uncle, Harley Lowe; as well as uncles, Russell and Gary MacLeod.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst, from where a private funeral service will be held. Memorial donations in Kim's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
