It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved husband, father and grandfather on Jan. 10, 2011, at the Northside General Hospital.
Bill was born in Sydney Mines, Sept. 30, 1920, to the late Charles and Mary Ann (Beaton) McCormick, the youngest of 11 children.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Beddow); his daughters, Melanie, Sydney Mines, Valerie and her husband, Ian March, Toronto; his son, Terry and his wife Christine and their daughters, Jessica and Danielle, Georges River; his sister, Eileen, Northside Community Guest Home; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Bruno, Frankie, Mike, Dannie and Charlie, sisters, Genevieve, Florence, Camille Whitney and Theresa MacIsaac.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Ajit Kerketta officiating.
Bill's family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Michel McKeough and Louise for their exceptional care over the years.
