It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grand-father, brother and friend who passed Jan. 9, 2011, at home.
Born Feb. 28, 1949, in Sydney, he was the son of Clarence Dean and Elsie (Courtney) Dean.
Frank was very devoted to his family and cherished every moment he spent with his children and precious grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty (Rafuse) Dean; by his daughters, Kimberley (Wally) Crawley, Kelley (Sean) Flannigan; by his grandchildren, Katlin, Kyle, Liam and Colton; brother and sisters, Jim (Audrey) Dean, Linda (Peter) Johnston, Donna (Dave) Krasowski and Thelma (Jim) Francis. Also left to mourn is his brother-in-law, Doug Rafuse and sisters-in-law, Terri (Derek) Wilson and Patsy (Dave) Boltzer.
Visitation and funeral service to honor the late Frank Dean will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Wednesday, Jan. 12. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 7-8 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 8 p.m.. Light refreshments will be shared following the service.
Donations in Frank's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
