Passed away peacefully at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on January 9, 2011, surrounded by her loving and devoted family, Alice Maud Blundell of Hickman's Harbour, age 82 years. Predeceased by her 1st husband and father of her children William George Marsh. Son Harvey, parents, James and Ethel Simmons, son-in-law, Victor Flight, brothers: Fred, Jim, and John, sisters: Laura Belle Marsh, Evelyn Blundell, Gladys Clarke and Bina Jackson Leaving to mourn and to celebrate her life with the abundance of beautiful memories of Love, Joy and Laughter, husband Ralph; two sons: Garfield (Doreen), Roy (Betty) (with whom she resided), Hickman's Harbour; seven daughters: Sharline Lambert (Samuel), Southport, Vera Patey (Freeman), Elliot's Cove, Maxine Watton (Levi), Hickman's Harbour, Ruby Holloway (Garry), Whitbourne, Sylvia Vardy (Howard), Ottawa, Ina, Shoal Harbour, Rosalind Mews (Chris), St. John's; twenty grandchildren (including very special grandson Jeffrey); twenty-seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Lizzie Ivany, Mabel Marsh; sisters-in-law: Allison Strong, Margaret Price and Eva Oswald; brother-in-law: Lewis. Also leaving to mourn the Blundell Family, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne, Tuesday, January 11, 6:00 to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Resting at the Salvation Army Church, Hickman's Harbour, Thursday 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Hickman's Harbour.
