1935 - 2011- It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward John Mason announce his passing at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Hospital in Grand Prairie, AB on January 4, 2011, at the age of 75. Edward was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club and he retired from Newfoundland Hydro. He is predeceased by parents James Mason and Julia (MacDonald). Left with fond and loving memories are sons James of Grand Prairie, AB and daughter of Linda (John Goulding) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Ann, Martha, Marie and Theresa; brothers James, Pete, Steve; grandchildren Matthew and Melissa Goulding (Mother of the children Maxine Mason). Father William Hearn conducted the Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception on January 10, 2011. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Mason, Pete Mason, Steve Mason, John Goulding and Robert Goodland. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
