Erven Cestnick Sr. 93, has passed away in Digby NS hospital on January 1, 2011. Erven was born in Minto NB, but resided most of his life in New Waterford NS. Erven was predeceased by his wife Yvonne (Destobel) and son Richard. He is survived by son Erven Jr. & (Cathy) of Smiths Cove who he has been living with and been cared for since he left Cape Breton. Erven was a Cape Breton coal miner for 45 years and a long time member of Calvin United Church and the Masonic Lodge in New Waterford. Cremation has taken place under the care of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home Ltd. New Waterford. Burial at a family plot in "Forest Haven" will take place at a later date.
