1911 - 2011 - Emilienne Cormier of Le Domaine de la Vallée in Memramcook passed away surrounded by her family at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on January 11, 2011 at the age of 99 and 9 months. Born in La Hêtrière on April 14, 1911, Emilienne was the third of the twelve children of Adolphe and Alice (Belliveau) LeBlanc. On October 14, 1940, she married Emile Cormier and they lived at Little Dover until Emile's death at 86. Emilienne will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her seven children, Elodie (Nicholas) d'Ombrain of Dieppe, Aline (Léonce) Gaudet of Belliveau Village, Omer (Roberte) of La Montain, Francis (Rhéaldine) of Dover, Eugène (Lillianne) of St. Joseph, Julia Gautreau (Normand Doiron) of Dieppe and Phélice of Dieppe, her eleven grandchildren, Janice, Conrad, Jocelyne, Denise, Mario, Lisa (Ottawa), Marc, Danny, Monique, and Manuel and Justin (both of Calgary), as well as her sixteen great grandchildren, Maxime, Jérémie, Miguelle, Alyssa, Robin, twins Yanic and Félix, Simon, Erica, Cédric, Cloé, Francis, Jessie, Jacob, Mélodie and Sophie. She is survived by one brother, Père Léo-Paul LeBlanc of La Montain, two sisters, Soeur Marie Cécile LeBlanc n.d.s.c. of Moncton, Aurore (late Laurent Richard) of Fredericton, and four sisters-in-law, Lina LeBlanc, Zelma LeBlanc, Antoinette (René) LeBlanc Bourgeois, Marie-Mai LeBlanc as well as several nieces and nephews. Emilienne was predeceased by five brothers: Albert (late Béatrice), Edgar, Henri, Sifroi and Yvon and three sisters Bertha (late Stanley Bourgeois and late Fred LeBlanc), Soeur Elodie LeBlanc n.d.s.c. and Soeur Yvonne LeBlanc n.d.s.c.
Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Thursday, January 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, January 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be no visitation before the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church , St-Joseph on Friday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Parish Cemetery at Memramcook.
