In the early morning hours of January 8, 2011, Gail Hahn McCuaig, passed away peacefully with family and long time friends at her side. Gail was born December 21, 1956 in Melville, Saskatchewan.

She leaves to mourn her partner Rick Tyrrell, son, Jesse McCuaig, step children, Niki and Ron Robichaud and grandchildren Gabe and Jonah Robichaud whom she adored. Also left to mourn her passing is her mother Effie Hahn, and brother Terry Hahn, sister Connie Hahn and many dear friends.

Gail was predeceased by her father, Adolf Hahn.
Gail started life as a farm girl in Melville, Saskatchewan and spoke fondly of her days working alongside her Dad running the tractors, combines, bailers, and swathers. In 1980, she married Robert McCuaig and they welcomed son Jesse the apple of her eye in March 1981. As residents of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Gail was an active member of the community. Her career was born of political passion and a desire to give to others, she spent many years as an executive assistant to then Premier of Saskatchewan, Grant Devine.

In the early nineties Gail moved to BC with her family and while in Kamloops supported the work of Darcy Alexander and Jamie Tattersfield as Sun Peaks was developed and in recent years worked with GT Hiring Solutions assisting individuals in finding new career paths and meaningful work. She enjoyed her job and her good friends at the office.

Over the past decade Gail found love again in her relationship with Rick Tyrell. She was looking forward to her retirement where she and Rick could enjoy even more days of fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. And spending time with her new family members especially grandchildren, Gabe and Jonah.

A Celebration of Gail's Life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the St. Andrew's on the Square, 159 Seymour St., Kamloops, B.C., V2C 2C6.

Cremation will take place with a private interment for family at a later date. Those wishing to provide pictures of Gail or letters and stories to be shared at her celebration may email them to:
