Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park Nursing Home on Monday, January 10, 2011, in his 93rd year. Stan was a prominent Newfoundland business man, having co-founded Blue Buoy Foods Ltd. Predeceased by his loving wife: Ellen (nee Nellie); son: John (July 2007); sister: Florence; brothers: Field, Ray and Roy. Leaving to mourn with fond memories are loving sons: Jim (Barbara), Murl, Bob (Sharon), Gary (Laurie); daughter-in-law: Eileen; grandchildren: Susan, Ken, Jennifer, Gayle, David, Andrea and Michael; great-grandchildren: Chris, Leslie, Ryan, Ben, Nicole, Andrew, Ellen, Ian, Joshua and Daniel; sisters: Geraldine, June and Mona; brothers: Marshal and Murley, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, January 12, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, January 13, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral service will be held from George Street United Church on Thursday, January 13, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
