It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our grandmother Gladys Snow on Jan. 11, 2011 in Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney.
Born in Forschu, she was a daughter of the late David and Mary-Ann Rafuse. Gladys lived most of her life in Sydney Mines.
She is survived by granddaughters, Kimberly Redhead, Barrie, Ont., Angela Hustins, Oshawa, Ont., Tammy Snow-Johnston, Oshawa, Ont.; grandson, Gordon Hunt, Toronto, Ont.; son-in-law, Reg Hunt, Toronto, Ont.; daughters-in-law, Margaret Holloway, Oshawa, Ont. and Leslie Snow, North Sydney. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Courtney, Emma, Kyra-Ann, Quinn, David and Ella.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Snow; sons, David and Clayton; daughter, Ann Hunt.
Visitation for the late Gladys Snow will be held 7-9 p.m. today (Thursday) with a funeral service 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, both in Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gladys' memory may be made to Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility.
