DURHAM - Sharon Ann Joyce, 64, of Durham, Pictou Co., passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Reserve Mines, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Catherine (McDonald) MacPhee.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Joseph "Joe" Joyce; daughter, Cathy Mason (Dana), Antigonish; sons, Joseph, Eastern Passage and Michael (Sharlen), Timberlea; grandchildren who brought her great joy: Jenna Mason, Isabella and Jacob Joyce; sister, Delores Finberg (Dave), Kingston; brothers, Chris (Sandi) MacPhee, Middleton and John MacPhee, Halifax.
She was predeceased by sisters, Evangeline, and Eleanor Livingstone; a brother, Jerome and infant brother, Gerard.
Cremation has taken place. Her family will receive visitors on Friday from 12-1:45 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Father Evo DiPierro officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation of Canada or the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
