A family's heart was broken a year ago today,
As we watched our loved one quietly pass away.
Another link is broken, as our chain of life unfolds.
God took you to Heaven,
It was hard for us to part.
You are gone but not forgotten,
You are always in our hearts.
In life you cared for people
And always did your best.
Your smile warmed the hearts of many
And now you are at rest.
We will meet again in Heaven on God's Eternal Shore.
