It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria Wroblewski on January 9, 2011 at the age of 96 years.

She was born on December 20, 1914 at Grodzisk, Poland.

Victoria's beloved husband Adam predeceased her on November 28, 1997.

Many relatives in Poland, and numerous close friends and acquaintances survive her.

Victoria and Adam met shortly after the conclusion of World War II in Germany. Leaving the hardships endured during the war behind them, they immigrated to Canada in search of a better life. Their early years were spent in the Cariboo, working in ranching and farming. In 1952, they moved and settled in Kamloops, residing at their home in the Brocklehurst area of town. Throughout their lifetime together, they enjoyed the company and friendship of valued life-long friends from within the Polish community in Kamloops, celebrating weddings, the arrival of children and enjoying many memorable Christmases together.

Victoria had a passion for gardening, taking much pride in her Geraniums, Christmas cactuses and Violets. She will be forever remembered as a kind person with a remarkable sense of humour, and a true and enduring strength of spirit for life.

Special thanks and gratitude for the support and kindness afforded to Victoria over the last number of years, by her goddaughter Susan Karstein, Alice Jurewich, George and Vi Brown, and Jennie Stadnichuk.
Prayers will be recited at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.

The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at the church on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Should friends desire, donations to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops, B.C., V2C 2T1, in memory of Victoria would be appreciated.
