Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, January 7, 2011, Flora K. Kennedy of Carbonear, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents: Alexander and Christine Hogan; brother: John 'Jack' Hogan; parents-in-law: Dagleton and Elizabeth Kennedy; special friend: James 'Jim' Hunt. Left to mourn, husband: Patrick; six daughters: Sharon (Steve) Leonard, Ontario, Diane Kennedy (Noel) and Carolyn (Gerry) Ryan, both of Carbonear, Joanne (Stephen) Walsh, St. John's, Judy (Gary) Hoyles, Carbonear and Denise (John) Sheppard, Conception Bay South; three sons: Jerome (Rachel), St. John's, Paul (Ann Marie), Harbour Grace and David (Cindy),Carbonear; sixteen grandchildren; one sister: Bridget (Bern) Crawford, Carbonear; sister-in-law: Hannah Thomey, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Monsignor E.T. Bromley and Fr. F.J. Aylward conducted the Funeral Mass on Monday, January 10 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Interment was in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Carbonear Dialysis Unit c/o TCP Health Foundation.
