Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, January 8, 2011, Clarence R. Rose of Western Bay, age 76 years. Predeceased by parents: Thomas and Phoebe; grandchildren: Sarah and Zachary; brothers: Herb, James, Jack, Fred, Hughie and Tom; sister: Lillian Penney. Left to mourn, wife: Ruby; two daughters: Cavell (Charles) Brun, Pointe Dixon, NB and Jeannie (Billy) Isaac, Burtonsville, Maryland; one son: Vincent (Pamela), Perry's Cove; four grandchildren: Barbara-Jean (Murray) Anderson, Megan Isaac (Billy) Murphy, Amanda Isaac and Kayla Rose (Kevin Sooley); three great-grandchildren: Thomas, Charlize, and Lilianna Anderson; two brothers: Aubrey (Eileen) and Vincent (Genevieve), both of Victoria; two sisters: Mildred Kelloway, Pentecostal Senior's Home, Clarke's Beach and Nattie (Steve) Nolan, St. Mary's; sisters-in-law: Helen Rose, Victoria, Elizabeth Rose, Gander, Eileen Lannahan, Paradise and Annie Rose, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Capts. Weldon and Donna Hayward conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, January 11 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment took place in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army, Lower Island Cove.
