Cy passed away on January 8, 2010 at Moose Jaw Union Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. Born January 28, 1934 Cy lived on the family farm in the Melaval district. Cy had a love of livestock and in early years raised registered Angus cattle and Arabian horses. Later in life he turned his attention towards fancy poultry, goats and miniature horses. Predeceased by his parents Merrill and Phyllis Fraser; first wife Carol (nee Friesen); son Michael; brothers James, Alvin and Gerald; sisters Irene and Rose; Cy is survived by second wife Gwen (nee Harris); daughter Allison (Randy) Rain and close grandson Calvin; daughter Veronica Fraser; sons Richard (Sharon) Rigetti, Alan (Barb) Rigetti and Eddie Rigetti; sisters-in-law Shirley Fraser and Betty Fraser; sons-in-law Pete Teichroeb and Miller (Julie) Friesen as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Cyril's Life to be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Piche-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapel, Assiniboia, Sask.
