Marshall"Wray" Lewis

Marshall "Wray" Lewis of Moose Jaw, formerly of Briercrest, passed away on January 13, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Wray was born in Rouleau to Hilliard and Sarah Lewis on the family farm, and attended school at Hearne. Wray married Leona Deitner on June 3, 1978 and they lived in Briercrest and farmed in the area for many years. He worked earth moving construction with his brothers, Harvey and Cliff, and also at St.Anthony's Home for ten years. Wray and Leona retired to Moose Jaw in 2004. He enjoyed music and played the harmonica and guitar, and was very mechanically inclined. He is predeceased by his parents, twin brother at birth Harold, brothers Cliff and Lloyd, brother-in-law Cec, and sisters-in-law Lillian and Lena. Wray will be sadly missed by his wife of 33 years, Leona; sister Marjorie West - Regina; brother Harvey (Helen) - Moose Jaw; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as Leona's family in the Kenaston and Saskatoon area. A Celebration of Wray's Life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Monday January 17, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will take place at the Rouleau Cemetery at a later date. For those so wising, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated.
